When managers come to Belgium from another country (or vice versa), it is usually for an assignment with great responsibility. It is therefore important to be up-and-running quickly.

However, this is usually not the case, or at least much less than desired. More than that, they often unknowingly sabotage their assignment.

The reason is that not enough attention is paid to their specific situation.


These are the situations in which companies engage me

1.   A senior manager from abroad comes to Belgium.

2.   A Belgian manager goes abroad for a specific project. 

3.   A team consisting of different cultures needs to understand each other and/or    their manager better in order to achieve better results.

4.   There are tensions within cross cultural teams and they need to be resolved urgently.

5.   HR staff want to be able to better support expats.


Personal track or Workshop

In the first two cases, I work out a tailor-made personal programme based on what results they need to achieve and their pre-existing experience of the country in question.

The last three cases involve group workshops whether or not supplemented by individual coaching.

In all cases, I use the Cross Cultural Roadmap for Expats in Key Positions as a guideline.
